Our story

Our journey began with numerous expeditions into the rainforests of Latin America and Asia, driven by a shared quest to find lasting economic solutions that preserve these natural ecosystems, while benefiting local communities.

We realised that these goals are two sides of the same coin – the most effective way of preserving nature is by working directly with local communities, harnessing their ethnobotanical wisdom to craft sustainable rainforest products.

With backgrounds in legal research, development, and communications, we’ve established a regenerative business model that actively involves Indigenous communities and shares profits to support rainforest conservation.

We see our role as cross-pollinators – like bees – connecting people, ideas, and cultures to bring together the right experts across conservation science, food, and agriculture in pursuit of our common goal.

Our beginnings were anything but ordinary – a series of wild adventures, bumpy rides, and occasional disasters. Our first project with wild cacao was no exception: after journeying thousands of miles into the Bolivian wilderness, we found ourselves navigating a complex local bureaucracy and feuding families, all while facing the worst drought in a decade. Yet, with a little help, we always managed to find our way through.
